Obscure question, I know. My father is a master craftsman in the realm of wood, recently jobless, and in need of consumer information. His current situation leaves him in need of taking few investments on spec. Ideas and creativity are overwhelmingly present, however we would really love to know, for economy’s sake, what you want.

I think it would have to be a patio canopy. I’ve noticed a lot of them at Menards, Home Depot, Target, Wal-mart. They are all made of plastic or metal, cheap, flimsy, and look like they would blow over in a soft summer breeze. Not to mention most are ugly! A sturdy canopy to create a shaded patio, with some nice detailing in the timbers, a little bit fantasy, a little bit fun- that would be awesome!
